Optimizations and Buffs

Optimizations and Buffs is the second official dated line after the Rework and Guest Mech Update on 14 August 2026. The official Roblox description added this line: Optimizations and Buffs on 15 August 2026. It is a Mini Update. It does not name a specific character, mode, or system.

This page explains what that sentence probably means and what to look for when you rejoin.

What the line means

Optimizations — client performance. If the game ran smoother after a rejoin on 15 or 16 August, that is the optimization half. Common optimization targets: frame rate on City, load times between waves, and hitching during explosions.

Buffs — numerical or mechanical improvements to existing kits. No specific unit was named. The community called it a replay-the-city patch because buffs to any kit would show up in a fresh Easy Mode clear.

What to check after a rejoin

  1. Rejoin a fresh server.
  2. Play Easy Mode with the kit you use most.
  3. Note whether cooldowns feel shorter or damage feels higher.
  4. If a rocketer that used to kill you now dies earlier, log the wave number and the kit.
  5. If the client feels smoother, that is the optimization half.

What not to assume

Do not copy a Discord table that says “Dual Blaster +20% damage.” No specific kit was named. The buff may have been for a unit you do not own. Trust your feel over a paragraph.

Do not assume every kit changed. Buffs targeted at specific units, not global changes to all characters. Only the units that shipped with a number that needed tuning got touched.

How it affects the Screw farm

The Mini Update does not change Screw payouts. Easy Mode still pays 50 Screws. The shop unlock order is unchanged. Run your clears the same way.

If a kit you own got a meaningful buff, the clear should feel safer. That is data worth keeping. Write the date and the kit name next to the wave where the difference was noticeable.

After the Mini Update

Check the Combat Rework page for any new settings (Aim Mode, Flight Cancel) that the 14 August log did not introduce. Check the Guest Mech update page if you have not confirmed the new portrait yet.

The Mini Update is a tuning pass, not a content drop. The next named window is the Accessibility Update for September 2026.
